Jim O'Dea (born February 2, 1949) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the VFL.
O'Dea was a defender who usually played across half back. He is famous for an incident which took place during the 1972 season when he felled Collingwood player John Greening. Greening was lucky not to die as a result of the injuries he sustained and O'Dea was lucky not to be suspended for more than just ten weeks.
