Jim Miner
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jim Miner is the original guitarist of Death By Stereo (and also tattooist). He left the band shortly after Into the Valley of Death, after getting married and having some of his fingers bitten-off by a wild boar.
He is the brother of Paul Miner, who was the band's bassist.
"As for me, dan was right about the wild boars. it's got nothing to do with getting married, although after maybe three and a half minute, maybe, fo, most of you would be wantin to marry a nigga. i've been spending more time in Canada, where wild boars roam the streets freely. i'm down to only 5 fingers between my two hands, just enough to hold a tattoo machine, or participate in amputee porn, which i'm also delving into. i asked the lads if i could stick around and play windchimes and trumpet, but my requests fell on deaf ears. and so the band plays on. the death will continue to grow and prosper, as it has done every time the sexiest member (ian fowles, tim bender, etc..) leaves the band. so anyone who loves the death, keep it up!!! anyone who wants a tattoo, call me, or perhaps a legitimate tattooer. i guess now the only thing to talk about on the message board is why paul isn't straight edge anymore. toodles." - -Jim Miner talks about leaving the band
Jim returned to the band to play a two shows on the 9th (at The Troubadour, Hollywood) and the 30th (at The Chain Reaction, Anaheim) of December 2005, but he did not return to the band fulltime. However, he rejoined the band again in 2006, in time for the band's new album, that is due out in 2007. [1]
