Jim Hickey is a weather presenter for TVNZ in New Zealand.
He returned to TVNZ to present weather for One News in late 2007 after much speculation he would replace the departing Brendan Horan. He had previously been the network's senior weathercaster from 1988 to 2003.
He has a BA in geography, majoring in climatology, and a diploma of meteorology.
Hickey has also made television programmes, "Jim's Car Show" and "A Flying Visit", as well as the documentaries "Hows the Weather Jim?" and "The Real Middle Earth".
He has remained the most popular weather presenter with his laid back style and quick wit and quotes that bring his weather report an edge that everyone enjoys.[citation needed]
He lives in New Plymouth.
