From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jim Haney was the head basketball coach at University of Oregon from 1978 to 1983. Haney resigned after five years because of his uninspiring record. The University of Oregon basketball program had a record of 52-80, including 26-61 in the Pac Ten conference while Haney was the head coach. Haney also served as an assistant coach at Kansas University. Haney served as the commissioner for the Missouri Valley Conference for three years, and eventually, as the executive director for the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
