Jim Clunie (born 4 September 1933 - died 12 May 2003) played for Aberdeen in the 1959 Scottish Cup final which they lost 3-1 to St Mirren in front of a crowd of 108,000 at Hampden Park. Shortly after this he transferred to St Mirren and played in the 1963 Scottish Cup final which Saints lost.
He later went on to manage Saints in 1978 after they had sacked Alex Ferguson. He took St Mirren into Europe for the first time ever after they finished 3rd in the league in 1981. He also managed Kilmarnock and died in 2003.
