Jim Cherneski is an American soccer player-manager of Russian descent. He currently manages Crystal Palace Baltimore of the USL Second Division along with Pete Medd. As of April 2007, Cherneski is the second youngest manager in the USL Second Division, aged just 32.
Cherneski is a former teammate and captain of Pete Medd at Towson University and has played in the USL.
Cherneski made his debut for Crystal Palace Baltimore on 23 June 2007 coming on in the 89th minute for Larry Mark against the Cincinnati Kings. The match ended up 2–2 with goals from Harold Urquijo and Joshua Alcala for Palace.
