Jillian Whiting

Jillian Whiting is a presenter with the Nine Network in Brisbane, presenting both the Gold Coast edition or National Nine News and the local Brisbane magazine show Extra.
Born in regional Queensland, Jillian took up a position as a research assistant in 1991 with Seven News Queensland where she later became a reporter and weekend news presenter.
She joined National Nine News in 1996 as a reporter and soon became co-anchor of the weekend news.
She became co-anchor of the weekday news in 2002, but later returned to weekends with the birth of her first child.
In 2006 she became anchor of that station's local Gold Coast news bulletin after production moved to Brisbane, and soon after assumed role as anchor of Extra, the local news magazine program.
Jillian has recently returned from maternity leave.
