Jill Scott (footballer)

Jill Scott (born February 2, 1987) is an English female footballer. She is a central midfielder, currently playing for Everton and England Women.

Although Jill started the 2007 World Cup on the bench, coming on as a substitute in England's opening match against Japan, she would go on to start the remainder of England's matches in the tournament. She also scored her first international goal in the 6-1 demolition of Argentina in the group stage.

At the end of the 2007/08 season she picked up the Tesco Players' Player of the Year award. Also nominated were Arsenal's Alex Scott and Karen Carney.
