Jigawa Golden Stars Football Club is a Nigerian football club. They play in the top level of professional football in Nigeria, the Nigerian Premier League. [1] Until 2007 they played in the city of Kano. After promotion, the team then moved to play its home games in the city of Zaria, Kaduna State because of interference from Kano officials and their ground in Dutse being under renovation until March 2008[2] [3]. However the Golden Stars are the most popular team in Jigawa State. [4] [5] They however may face disbandment at the end of the season if they are relegated [6].
