Jiangshanosaurus was a titanosaurian sauropod that lived approximately 125-100 million years ago. The type species, Jiangshanosaurus lixianensis, was formally described by Tang et al. in 2001. Like others of its family, Jiangshanosaurus probably had a thick skin or a bony armor for protection. Its remains were found in rocks from the Early Cretaceous of China.
