Jiang Ying (蒋英) was an opera singer. She was the third daughter of Jiang Baili, a leading military strategist under Chiang Kai-shek, and his Japanese wife, Satô Yato. In 1945 she married Tsien Hsue-shen, a rocket scientist who helped found both the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the United States and later the rocketry program in China.
