Jhikargachha is located at 23.1000° N 89.1333° E . It has 43439 units of house hold and total area 307.28 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Jhikargachha has a population of 235882. Males constitute are 51.24% of the population, and females 48.76%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 119652. Jhikargachha has an average literacy rate of 27.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
