Image source problem with Image:BDA logo3.jpg
This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:BDA logo3.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:25, 12 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Hey, no problem
I figured it was an error due to the weird cut-off point. Jinxmchue 01:06, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Towson HS Basketball 1921.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Towson HS Basketball 1921 team.jpg. The copy called Image:Towson HS Basketball 1921 team.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 21:14, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Rex Humbard
The restaurant tower that Rex Humbard started to build and then just left standing was one of the most famous aspects of his life. In all of Ohio and beyond, it has been known as "Rex's Erection" for decades, it is a very famous landmark.

Reply Thx for the msg explaining your edit to Rex Humbard. Certainly good faith edits by anyone are always greatly appreciated. Having said that, however, Wikipedia is one of the Top 10 sites on the internet in terms of daily hits, which number in the millions. As such, we have to be careful that all Articles follow certain guidelines for quality. For example, all information has to be reliably sourced. In a nutshell, that means it must have been printed in a mainstream newspaper or website, etc., and cited in the Article's footnotes. (for details, see WP:RS). Also, Wikipedia is not a collection of "trivia". So although the Rex Humbard article does mention the unfinished tower, I don't see how adding a slang term to describe it adds to the Article's value as an encyclopedic reference. I hope you will understand why it was reverted. Happy editing! JGHowes talk - 19:44, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Hardy palms
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've included a link to a photo album I created last summer with some pics I've taken through the years of hardys in Baltimore. I also included a link to a post by a Baltimore resident of some experience with hardy palms in the Baltimore area.

E. Urner Goodman
Here's my first set of suggestions...first, look at Arthur Rose Eldred and George Thomas Coker, both articles I wrote that are also GAs and single person BSA biographies. Make the Goodman article similar in scope and depth of info to these two articles. Then reference every well. When you get there, leave a note on the Goodman talk page and I'll look it over again. Then we'll go from there. Right now, I'd basically say the Goodman article just needs beefing up to get to the GA point. Hi, James, just out of idle curiosity is your attribution-type licence for this image actually compatible with the GFDL? I'm not planning to delete it either way, just wondered if there is a potential problem. Jimfbleak 16:59, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Pres Roosevelt and Boy Scouts in 1937.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Pres Roosevelt and Boy Scouts in 1937.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Additionally, if you continue uploading bad images, you may be blocked from uploading. STBotI 20:04, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:THS logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:THS logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:12, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Ocean Grove
Hi, Alansohn- We seem to keep running into each other on various articles - small world, isn't it? :o)
I've reworded slightly Ocean Grove, New Jersey since your edit, to clarify that although the court quashed OG's status as a separate borough in 1921, the Camp Meeting Assn continued to exercise local ordinance powers for another 60 years (until the newspaper deliveryman sued the Assn in 1981 because he couldn't drive his delivery truck into the Grove on Sundays).
Just didn't want you to think me rude for changing your edit.
Cheers, JGHowes talk - 19:25, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- It sure is a small world. The original wording implied that that Ocean Grove was ruled unconstitutional as a municipality in 1981. I was reading (and digesting) a New York Times article on the 1981 ruling and I will integrate it with your edits. Thanks for taking the time to clarify the ruling in the article and for the heads up. Alansohn 19:48, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi JG. The Template:Dominionism TfD, on which you commented, has been closed with no consensus (default to keep). Eleanor Roosevelt GA nomination failed
I have reviewed the article according to the GA criteria and have failed it at this time. I have left a review on the talk page of the article that recommends what sections need to be fixed before the article is nominated again. If you have any questions about the review, please let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. If you disagree with the review, you can seek mediation at Good article reassessment. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 07:58, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:NRHS logo.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:NRHS logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:18, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
[this is a BOT malfunction, image is not orphaned]
References
No, I actually prefer <references />. The change is part of WP:AWB's general fixes, and for this reason I have turned off "general fixes" in my main "date maintenance tags" run. However, on balance, with the standard headers I decided that the type of article is more likely to benefit from the general fixes. I have also asked the AWB developers to remove this particular feature. (Note the reason I prefer <references /> is purely the font size.) Rich Farmbrough, 18:39 5 December 2007 (GMT).
Thank you
I want to thank you for updating the fair use rationale for the Image:Westmoreland Seal.jpg. Normally when I receive notices that the usage is disputed, I will take care of them immediately. Great eye for GA
Hi, you seem to have a great eye for Good Articles.. Could you take a look at Victor G Bloede and let me know what you think. I'm certain it's not even close to a GA but would be nice to have some pointers on how to improve it the best I can. The biggest problem is the resources. What you see for refs is about it! I can't seem to find much of any I used every bit I could from what little I had. Thanks! --DP67 (talk/contribs) 16:35, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your contributions and advice on Victor G Bloede I'll keep working at it. Although I doubt with such limited references it will be a GA, but still I'd like to make it an interesting article to read. One of the biggest problems I'm having as far as researching his patents and inventions is that most of them where made in the late 19th century to the early 20th century and I cant find any references on them other than what is already written. Any idea where I could find such information on them so I can cite them? I'm sure having only a few references does not help its creditability.

Disclaimer
You make a reasonable point. However, you may observe that while I'm the reporter, the disclaimer is an "editor's note". I might actually further suggest changes, since the story is supposed to reflect my reporting but not especially my "opinions" as the disclaimer refers to it. Anyway, I'll mention this to Ral315 and maybe we can improve the standard disclaimer for future instances. --Michael Snow (talk) 19:09, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
