Hello JG87,

I noticed your edits to gravity bong. Gravity bong means different things to different people - it is not correct that a gravity bong always refers to a device utilizing a bucket. In fact the waterfall variety makes more sense as far as the term gravity goes but I'm here to represent both sides of that debate - not just one. Please see the talk page at Talk:Gravity bong: I have seen the edits to bong where people have attempted to set only one of those devices as the true gravity bong and they either get changed to neutral again or to the other type of gravity bong. I'm just trying to keep Wikipedia factual and representative of all view points; see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Triddle 19:29, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Hello again,

First I wanted to thank you for your edits, really. I'm glad to see someone else making extremely good quality edits to Wikipedia. I'm especially glad to see someone who is willing to work on the gravity bong debate as I've been trying to solve that for a long time. My desire to use gravity bong to refer to both types of bong is actually based around trying to keep edit wars down, not in a desire to dictate what the word refers to. I actually prefer the bucket and waterfall terms myself as there is very little room for mistaking which device you are referring to.

I felt compelled to remove one of your arguments on the gravity bong article - The bucket method allows for a variable flow rate by manipulating gravity's influence. I don't think that is a property that is unique to the bucket bong. Imagine putting your finger over the exit hole on a waterfall bong... you have just controlled the influence. I also see that you are a new user and you have not been adding edit summaries to your edits. Wikipedia is based around communication and compromises on articles. Its important for all edits to specify edit summaries when they make changes and to use the talk pages as well. You can see the talk page by clicking the link at the top of the web page that says 'discussion'. You can see the history of all the edits to an article and their associated edit summaries via the link at top that says 'history'. When you leave messages on a talk page or for another user don't forget to sign your comments with 4 ~ (like this: ~~~~).

Thanks for uploading Image:Potleaf.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use.
