[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-aberdeen.jpeg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Logo aberdeen.jpg. The copy called Image:Logo aberdeen.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 21:01, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Aberdeen Group

A tag has been placed on Aberdeen Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. S.K. 14:39, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

--- I have reduced the article to a one-paragraph stub to eliminate the press-release tone, and , as an administrator here, declined to delete it since the company is in fact very important. I alert you that you should not add it back but only insert purely factual encyclopedic description of key products and service and critical elements of company history to inform the users of this encyclopedia, not impress them. You are clearly used to the press release style of writing--do not use it here. Omit needless words -- surely you've heard this before--especially adjectives and words of praise. Some references to published 3rd party independent reliable sources sources would also help-- Market Watch is not really an independent source, nor is any source derived from a company press release. Be careful, and read WP:COI. DGG (talk) 15:57, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
