[edit] Summary

Drawing of a cross-section of President Kennedy's neck and chest, showing the trajectory of the projectile from back to throat. In one aspect, the drawing is inaccurate: The House Select Committee on Assassinations reported that President Kennedy's head was not significantly tilted downward at the time of the assassination (2 HSCA 174, 176), although his back and shoulders were hunched forward 11 to 18 degrees. Published as Figure 12 on page 100 of volume 7 (Medical and Firearms Evidence) of the Appendix to Hearings Before the Select Committee on Assassinations of the U.S. House of Representatives (1979).
