Below is a rough draft of a page I plan to create on the Andover/Exeter Football Rivalry, the oldest continuous - or, at the very least, oldest standing - high school football rivalry in the United States. Basically, though much of this comes from reliable sources, much of it also does not...particularly the table, which includes the results of only 5 of the 125 games, and only two scores. And only the 2005 game results come from a source, the rest are just what i remember from my time there. Oh, speaking of which, if you want to edit the "results" table, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Andoverexeter&action=submit. One issue i'm having is how to deal with ties (see year 2002); who should be listed in the "winner" column? should it switch off? should a collumn-spanning "Game Tied || At (Points)" (what I have in there no) do the trick? I'm not sure. Also feel free to re-word any of the sentences, some are really rather clumsily worded. Much like that last one. In any case, here it is. P.S. If anyone can find a good place to include the school seals

in the article, I think that'd be great...but I can't find a way that it doesn't look ridiculous / superflous. Also appreciated would be more information, such as which two years they didn't play and the reasons for it...

The Andover/Exeter football rivalry is the oldest current prep school football rivalry in the U.S. Since 1878, Phillips Academy Andover and Phillips Exeter Academy, two of the oldest private boarding schools in the United States, have faced off in an annual football contest. The teams met for the 125th time at Phelps Stadium in Exeter, New Hampshire on November 12, 2005.

The teams have met 125 times since 1878, and though both teams have enjoyed "streaks" throughout the series, over the rivalry has been fairly even. As of 2005, Andover has won 66 games, Exeter 49, and 10 games have resulted in ties (most recently in 2002). In the years _ _ _ _ and _ _ _ _, the teams did not meet.

Andover beat Exeter 24 to 8, finishing off their first undefeated season since 1995. Andover racked up 373 yards offensively, and Exeter gained 185. Exeter's 8 points came in the closing minute of the game on a touchdown and two point conversion, sparing the team from being shut out for the first time since 1997.
