Between 2002 and 2006, he was a presenter on the live daily children's television magazine show Xchange, transmitted on the CBBC Channel. In 2006 he was the main presenter of The World Cup Show, a Eurosport program which was broadcast live twice a day, everyday in 53 countries, dealing with the Football World Cup in Germany.

On stage Jez is also a pantomime regular. Stevenage saw him tread the boards in his fourth pantomime playing Muddles in Snow White. He has twice played Buttons in Cinderella, (Torquay and Gravesend), Simple Simon in Jack and the Beanstalk (York) and Idle Jack in Dick Whittington at The Playhouse in Weston-super-Mare in 2006.
