[edit] JeThRo's (Jethro's) name

Nowhere in this article, nor in my cursory examination of his website, can I find any explanation for the odd capitalization of JeTHRo. Indeed, the only place this capitalization is used in this article is in the title and first sentence, and, so far as I've seen, even his own website consistently refers to him as the conventionally capitalized "Jethro". The one place where odd capitalization can be seen is on the cover of his videos, but even here he seems to consistently use "JeThRo", rather than "JeTHRo". Could someone perhaps clear this up? -Chinju 02:36, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

you are right the title of the article should be JeThRo the same as the video covers... i didnt notice it when i wrote the articles... as "Jethro (comedian)" redirects here and "Jethro" is in use, i will use the video covers spelling --- Paulley 17:33, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

I assume "JeThRo" is a stage name; but is it from a forename "Jethro"; or (as the upper to lowercasing suggests to me) is it dervied from three names; or is it from something else?  If the former - and probably also if the latter - I suggest Jethro (comedian) becomes the main article.  David Kernow 02:43, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
PS Can someone please confirm - or not - (a) the Generation Game anecdote currently commented-out; (b) which St. Just in Cornwall had/has the Operatic Society Jethro joined. Thanks. David Kernow 03:39, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

It seems to me that his name is clearly 'Jethro', and the JeThRo on the video covers is just a stylism - no-one calls it STAR WARS even though the famous logo is in capitals . If no-one objects, I'll move the page to Jethro_(Comedian) and correct the article. David 11:24, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
meh, im not to worried but i personally dont like adding name (braket) articles. --- Paulley 16:11, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
As you can see, I've moved the article. David 15:34, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 'Bogged down' with links

This article was bogged down with links and I have gone through and removed many of them. Remember that a link should only be included when it is useful for the user, otherwise it can be confusing. For example: before I removed the links, this was one of the sentences in the article

"walked the 100 miles or so from Lands End to Lewdown"

The first link is completely unnecesary. We should automatically assume that a Wiki user already knows what a mile is. It is a generic term. However the second link is valid as we can't assume that every user is familiar with 'Lands End', as it is very much in the context of the article of traditional Cornish 'roots'.
