[edit] Unspecified source for Image:40 Days with God.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:40 Days with God.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ResurgamII 20:28, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi!

I noticed on your user page (and by your name) that you love Jesus. So do I (personally, I'm a Non-denominational Protestant)! Do you have a specific demonination? Or do you consider yourself something other than a Christian? If you do consider yourself a Christian, please consider adding this to your user page:

[[Category:Christian Wikipedians|{{subst:Jesussaves}}]]

You could also put this userbox on your user page, too:

{{User:Xoloz/UBX/User Christian}}.

By the way, nice work on 40 Days with God: A Devotional Journey!

Feel free to ask me if you need help with anything on Wikipedia. Keep up the good work! -- P.B. Pilhet 22:16, 7 September 2006 (UTC), Newpage Patrol

Image:Music barstar4.png I hereby award this barnstar to Jesussaves for outstanding contributions to music-related articles. -- P.B. Pilhet

Thanks!!!! Jesussaves 01:11, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome!

You know, of all the users I've seen on Wikipedia who claim to be Christians, you've impressed me the most (no offense to them, of course). Most teens who call themselves Christian don't give much thought to God. But your whole life apparently revolves around Him; I mean, how many Christian kids would choose to listen to Christian music (and not only listen to it, but write tons of articles on Wikipedia about it) or choose "Jesussaves" for their user name? Their have only been a few people who have really impressed me and inspired me with their faith, and you're one of them. I wish there were more kids (and adults) in the world like you; it would help take the "stereotype" out of "teenager." You're an excellent role model, and I just wanted you to know that your faith hasn't gone unnoticed.

God bless you,

P.B. Pilhet 21:40, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Wow, that's really great of you to say. What better compliment could I get? As you said, most teens who call themselves Christian don't give much thought to God, but you really know how to encourage someone. Thank you so much. I wish there were more people in the world like you.

Thank you and God bless you,
Jesussaves 22:16, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Again, you're welcome! -- P.B. Pilhet 22:41, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

P.S -- Thanks for your compliment! -- P.B. Pilhet 19:09, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Double P.S. -- I just thought you'd like to know that I bought a few of Rebecca St. James' songs. They're pretty cool! If I had never seen your user page, I'd have never known about her. Thanks! -- P.B. Pilhet 02:21, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Your welcome! Which ones did you buy? --Jesussaves 02:38, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

I bought four: Hark the Herald Angels Sing, You Are Loved, Love Being Loved By You, and Forgive Me (that last one actually brought tears to my eyes). -- P.B. Pilhet 14:31, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

I love Forgive Me! It's such a true and powerful song (it has brought tears to my eyes before). I have it on my MySpace. Hark the Herald Angels Sing is pretty good. Love Being Loved By You is also good. You Are Loved is one of my favorites. -- Jesussaves 17:31, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Do you have any other favorites? I bought the songs on iTunes, and sometimes it's hard to tell how good a song is by the preview. My favorite singer of all time is Enya. She's not a Christian singer (actually, she's been classified as New Age, although she doesn't officially claim that herself), but her songs are very inspirational.

Speaking of websites (you mentioned MySpace), there's a site I think you might be interested in called Rapture Ready (maybe you've heard of it). It has news and other things, all from a Christian perspective. It also has a very funny Humor section. I go there pretty much every day to see what's going on in the world.

By the way, what's your real name? -- P.B. Pilhet 20:15, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

I never had heard of that website before. Thanks for introducing me to it. I'll have to check out Enya. I read some of the lyrics and she sounds pretty good.

Some of my other favorite songs by Rebecca St. James are "God" (great song!), "God Help Me", "Wait For Me", "Pray", "Here I Am", and "Lamb of God". I have more, but those ones are probably my absolute favorites.

And my real name is Sam. :) -- Jesussaves 22:13, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

My favorite Enya songs are (in order of 1st, 2nd, etc.): It's in the Rain, Hope has a Place, May it Be, and Book of Days. Another good one is Orinoco Flow (better known as Sail Away).

Thanks so much for using some of my userboxes on your user page!! That meant a lot to me, especially the "Wiki Friend" one. I think it's incredibly coincidental (or a blessing) that you're also a non-denominational protestant. Do you have a church? I don't anymore, but my dad used to be a pastor. What, by the way, is your MySpace profile name? -- P.B. Pilhet 03:05, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

P.S. -- I don't know why I thought of this, but you might like to read Between Heaven and Hell by Peter Kreeft. It's a short book about an imaginary dialogue that takes place after C.S. Lewis (I'm a big, big fan of his), Aldous Huxley, and John F. Kennedy died within one hour of each other. They met in the afterlife and debated about their religions. It's a good read (a little hard to understand sometimes, but still good). Have you ever read Left Behind?

Double P.S. -- You know, I just clicked the preview button to show my last message, and when I saw the top of your talk page, I noticed your "welcome message" by Caesura. I think I finally know who that deleted article was about :-)

Your welcome. Those are really good userboxes. I do go to an awesome, non-denominational church with a great pastor. Sorry, but I don't think my mom would want me to put my MySpace name where everyone can see it; she only wants people she knows in my friends list. And only people in my friends list can see my profile.

I'll have to check out that book sometime. Right now I'm reading three Christian books: John MacArthur's commentary on Revelation, You're the Voice: 40 More Days with God by Rebecca St. James, and Apollyon the fifth book in the Left Behind series. I love the Left Behind series! You're the Voice is pretty good. It's a day-to-day devotional book that covers different topics. John MacArthur's commentary is a really good study guide. MacArthur explains everything very clearly and has challenging questions to ask yourself.

If you wanted to, you could check out the Rebecca St. James forums that can be found here: [1]. I post there a lot and you don't have to be that big a fan if you wanted to become a member (only if you want to).

Oh, yeah, about that deleted article...haha. That was when I didn't really know what Wikipedia was all about. You learn from mistakes! :-) Jesussaves 20:31, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the compliment on my userboxes. And I understand; what your mom says, goes. I've never done anything on MySpace (actually I've only seen their homepage, and that's it).

And about the books, well, once again there's another thing that proves what a strong Christian you are. I've read (and am still reading) a lot of C.S. Lewis's theological works, like Mere Christianity, The Great Divorce, and The Four Loves. I've also read his Narnia series, and (what I consider to be his best novel) Till We Have Faces. The Left Behind series is really, really, good! Don't give them up! I'll see if my library has that book on Revelation.

I noticed one of your userboxes says you play racquetball. Are you in a league, or something? I play ice hockey (as a goalie) for my local high school team. As you may recall from my userpage, I don't actually go to school since I'm homeschooled, but I play for the team anyway.

My "newbie" mistake was taking text from a commercial website and using it for an article (the Taliesin Orchestra). Since that's a copyright violation, the whole article was blocked for about two weeks. So I started from scratch and wrote a completely original entry.

I'll check out that RSJ forum. -- P.B. Pilhet 21:05, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

The only books by C. S. Lewis I've read are the Narnia ones. I really enjoyed them. I've heard of most of those other books, but haven't read them I plan to someday (even before you told me about them I was going to read them).

As for racquetball...I'm kind of in a league. It's more like a group lesson but it's called the "Jounior Racquetball Club". It's actually not going on right now and I haven't played in ages!

I also really like music. I have played piano for five years and the violin for a couple of months. I love piano, and I like violin (but not as much as piano). Do you play any instruments?Jesussaves 00:29, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

I tried to learn the recorder when I was real young (I noticed you play that, too). It didn't really work out, though; it just wasn't my passion. My hobbies include hockey, Wikipedia, reading and writing, and (not so much anymore) videogames. I've written a few short stories, although they're not really good.

I have three main goals that I'm working to achieve in life: #1, create and maintain a website that rivals Rapture Ready (I think that's a great way to reach a lot of people and tell them about God). #2, become a State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol. And, #3, write and publish at least one book (probably like a devotional).

I have one thing I want ask you, and it's kind of embarrassing. I was hoping I wouldn't have to, but I would just really like to know who I'm talking to, so please, please don't take offense. Could you tell me your full first name? The main reason I asked for your name in the first place, apart from curiousity, was to tell me if you're...well, a boy or a girl. As you can see, Sam doesn't quite cut it. Again, I'm sorry if this is a little embarrassing, but the curiousity's killing me! -- P.B. Pilhet 03:10, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

P.S. -- Could we continue our "conversation" on my talk page? Yours is getting full, and we're not supposed to stray to far from Wiki-related topics on one talk page. Speaking of Wiki, have you ever heard of WikiProject Christianity?

Sure, Samuel, we can talk by e-mail. I think you forgot the "at" sign when you gave me your address, but I think I can figure it out :-)

P.S -- You should read this news article from CWN. Doesn't this whole scene of the Mahdi and "Jesus" look like the Antichrist and False Prophet from Revelation? (no offense to any Muslims who might be reading this post)

I tried to send you an e-mail, so please let me know if you don't get it. -- P.B. Pilhet 21:33, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "You're The Voice" article.

Hey mate,

I came across the You're The Voice article while looking up John Farnham and had to disagree with its contents. Even though it mentioned John Farnham as having released the song in 1986, the main content of the article suggested that the song is BY Rebecca St. James. I feel that the article should state that the song is BY John Farnham and covered by Rebecca St. James. I have made the changes which I think are appropriate.

Hmm, I see you love Jesus. Hey, I love Jesus too! Hmm, so I see you like C.S Lewis. Hey, I like C.S Lewis too! Good to see a Christian as Christian as you on Wikipedia. Peace be with you! --Anton1234 01:56, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:!Hero_DVD_cover.JPG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:!Hero_DVD_cover.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 10:13, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The K.O. King

Hello. I am The K.O. King. God has really blessed me, you see I visit a random user every month and I have visited two Christians in a row!! I am so glad you love God more than anything I feel the same way about him. If you ever get a chance to reply, do you know if there are any Tobymac (my favorite singer ever) userboxes? Thanks. It would great to talk to you. God bless. The K.O. King (talk) 14:32, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
