Jesus Montero

Jesus Montero (born November 28, 1989) is a Venezualan baseball player and right-handed catcher/designated hitter. On July 2, 2006, he was signed by the New York Yankees for $1.6 million. [1] Montero is reported to be the best player and to have the best power of any 2006 international signee [2] He currently plays for the Charleston RiverDogs and is said by some scouts to have an 80 on a 20-80 scale for power. He was invited to 2008 spring training, where he hit a home run in his only at bat before being assigned to minor league camp.[3]
