"Jesus Loves You (Not As Much As I Do)" was Eve's Plum's first single from the second album, Cherry Alive. The song showcased the band's new radio friendly sound and hoped to push them onto a major chart. However, the song was their label's last attempt at any form of heavy promotion. The video was their last shot, despite two more singles being lifted from the album.
