Jesuit University of Philosophy and Education Ignatianum

The Jesuit University of Philosophy and Education Ignatianum in Krakow, Poland is a Catholic College officially recognized by the state of Poland (see: The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Conference of Bishops of Poland, July 1st 1999 (Dz.U. 1999, nr 63, poz. 727)).
There are two faculties in Ignatianum:
- Philosophy - entitled to confer the Master's and Ph.D. degrees
- Education - entitled to confer the Master's one.

In 1932 the Faculty of Philosophy of the Society of Jesus in Krakow got the rights of a Catholic school of university standing. In 1989, after social changes in Poland, it was possible for Jesuits to set up a legal status Papal University School Ignatianum.
