Jessica Rydill

Jessica Rydill is a British fantasy author from the West Country. She studied at King's College, Cambridge and the College of Law, working as a solicitor for 13 years. Despite this, it is her travels and adventures across the world that have provided the inspiration for her writing. She became obsessed with the département of Drome after volunteering for a French workcamp in 1980, and this interest is reflected in her writing.
Her interests include collecting Sasha dolls, myth, dreams and East European music.
Her first novel Children of the Shaman was published in 2001. The sequel The Glass Mountain was published in October 2002. She is currently working on a third novel, Malarat.
Jessica married Stephen Saunders, a writer and designer, on June 3, 2006.
Jessica is also sister to acclaimed fantasy novelist, Sarah Ash, author of the popular Tears of Artamon trilogy.
