Jessica Palmer

Jessica Palmer, born in Chicago Illinois in 1953, writes science fiction, fantasy, mystery and horror. She also has written nonfiction under the name of Jessica Dawn Palmer.

In England, Palmer has had 6 sf and fantasy novels published by Scholastic Books while in the US she had another 4 novels published by Simon and Schuster’s Pocket Books.

Her works have been translated into Norwegian, Japanese, Italian, Russian and Romanian. Her novellas were released in Holland. Dark Lullaby was nominated for the Bram Stoker Award for best first novel in 1989. Palmer was listed Starburst Magazines’ SF Top 200 in 1999 and Germany‘s Horror Lexicon published in 2001.

Under the name Jessica Dawn Palmer, she has written two books on Native American culture, including; Animal Wisdom, The Definitive Guide to the Myth, Folklore and Medicine Power of Animals; and The Dakota Peoples: A History of the Dakota, Lakota and Nakota through 1863.
