Jessica Aguirre

Jessica D. Aguirre (b. June 25, 1963 in Aventura, Florida) is an American television journalist. She is the 6pm & 11pm anchor for KNTV NBC11 News, the NBC O&O station in San Francisco, California.

Prior to joining KNTV NBC11 News, Aguirre worked at ABC7 News in San Francisco as anchor for the 6 p.m. & 11 p.m. newscast. Before joining ABC7 News, she worked at KABC-TV another ABC station in Los Angeles as a reporter from 1997-1998. Prior to coming to California Aguirre worked in Miami, Florida WSVN and graduated with a Degree from the University of Miami.

Aguirre earned Emmy awards for her series on the struggles faced by migrant children and for a series on child molesters. Her series on Cuban boat people won an Associated Press Award.

Aguirre is a 2nd-generation Cuban immigrant and is the sister to WSVN's Deco Drive host, Louis Aguirre.
