Jesper Olsen is an ultra distance runner from Denmark.

He ran around the world in 22 months, from January 1st 2004 to the 23rd October 2005. His route consisted of: London-Copenhagen-Moscow-Vladivostok-Tokyo-(air)-Sydney-Perth-(air)-Los Angeles-Vancouver-New York-(air)-Shannon-London.

During the majority of the run he pushed a babyjogger carriage in which he kept food, beverages, a tent, and other equipment. While running through Russia and half of the US, he was aided by a support car transporting these supplies. From London to central Siberia he was accompanied by Alexander Korotkov of Russia who planned to run around the world with Jesper, but gave up in central Siberia. During this run Jesper also participated and won the Cliff Young Australian 6-day race, November 2004.

He is now planning a North-South route to begin July 1st 2008 with Glen Turner.

Jesper Olsen studied law in 1994-95 while living at the dormatory Taarnbykollegiet in southern Copenhagen.

Other people who have walked or run around the world (or are attempting it) include: Karl Bushby, Ffyona Campbell, Dave Kunst, Colin Skinner and Rosie Swale-Pope.
