Parisoma boehmi |
Parisoma is a genus of small insectivorous birds in the Sylviidae family. Recent studies suggest that it should be included in in the genus Sylvia, as at least one species, the Brown Warbler, is closer to species traditionally included in Sylvia than to the other Parisoma species (Helbig 2001, Jønsson & Fjeldså 2006). For further information see "Typical warbler".
Species (the first three form a superspecies):
- Banded Warbler, Parisoma boehmi
- Layard's Warbler, Parisoma layardi
- Rufous-vented Warbler, Parisoma subcaeruleum
- Brown Warbler, Parisoma lugens
The Yemen Warbler, Sylvia buryi, is sometimes placed in Parisoma next to the Brown Warbler.
