Jerry Cronin, son of Alice (nee Mulcahy) and Sean Cronin, was born in Currabeha, Fermoy, County Cork. His uncle, Arthur Mulcahy, was a member of the Old I.R.A. and shot by forces of the Crown during the Black and Tan War on the night of March 22nd 1921.
