I dont think it should be deleted because I will be adding more to it soon, and he is an important figure in American Baptist society in the midwest and across the country, speaking at numerous churches (http://www.judsoncollege.edu/news/index.aspx?id=1291). I am trying to give more information about him to someone who might hear about him and want to know more.

examples of presidents of schools (limited to Illinois, for time sake) which have their own article: Jonathan Blanchard (Wheaton), B. Joseph White U of I, Daniel Kucera Benedictine, Don Michael Randel U of Chicago, Richard F. Wilson Illinois Wesleyan, Michael J. Garanzini Loyola, Henry Bienen Northwestern, Sr. Margaret Feldner, OSF Quincy University,

I got this from the vanity guidelines article.

[edit] Does lack of fame make a vanity article?

An article should not be dismissed as "vanity" simply because the subject is not famous. There is currently no consensus about what degree of recognition is required to justify a unique article being created in Wikipedia (although consensus exists regarding particular kinds of article, for instance see WP:MUSIC). Lack of fame is not the same as vanity.

Furthermore, an article is not "vanity" simply because it was written by its subject. Articles about existing books, movies, games, and businesses are not "vanity" so long as the content is kept to salient material and not overtly promotional.

I marked this for speedy del because the subject does not seem to meet the WP:BIO guideline for professors:
The professor test -- If the individual is more well known and more published than an average college professor (based on the U.S. practice of calling all full-time academics professors), they can and should be included. (For a discussion, see: Wikipedia talk:Criteria for inclusion of biographies/Academics.)
I've looked at the other people you suggest are comparable, Blanchard (Wheaton) is probably notable as an extreme abolistionist, B. Joseph White seems non-notable, and I'd delete him, Kucera is an archbishop and advisor to the Vatican, Don Michael Randel has a number of musicology works to his credit, Richard F. Wilson seems completely non-notable, Michael J. Garanzini seems borderline NN on the basis of one publication, Henry Bienen seems to have nothing terribly significant to his name (so I'd delete him), and Margaret Feldner is borderline, based on first woman president of... etc. Mr. Cain, good chap though I'm sure he is, doesn't appear to have any notable achievements compared to your regular run-of-the-mill prof. Simply being president of a school doesn't cut WP:BIO. Best wishes, --Squiddy 23:36, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
