"Jersey Girl" is a song composed and originally sung by American musical artist Tom Waits from his 1980 album Heartattack and Vine. The song is also included on Waits' compilation albums Bounced Checks (1981), Anthology of Tom Waits (1985), and Used Songs, 1973-1980 (2001).
It has been covered most famously by New Jersey native and musical icon Bruce Springsteen.
On August 24, 1981 Bruce Springsteen and Tom Waits performed the song together at the Brendan Byrne Arena (now known as the Izod Center) in New Jersey.
