Jerry Sharell

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jerry Sharell is an American singer / actor who was best known as "Mickey" on the syndicated version of the children's musical-variety series Kids Incorporated. He was one of the original cast members who appeared in the 1983 pilot that never aired on TV, yet was released on home video in 1985. Sharell only appeared in the first season along with original cast members / singers Marta Marrero ("Gloria"), Renee Sands, Rahsaan Patterson ("The Kid") and Stacy Ferguson in 1984. Rumors were that creative differences and his changing voice were the reasons he left after the first season. He was replaced by Ryan Lambert in 1985.

Sharell attempted to start a solo career for himself in 2000, but it never took off. He was previously seen at a concert for Wild Orchid, a sultry female trio which included former castmates Renee Sandstrom and Stacy Ferguson (now "Fergie" of Black Eyed Peas) and their longtime friend Stefanie Ridel.

In 2002, Jerry joined Stiletto Entertainment as Barry Manilow's in-house publicist and later becoming manager to American Idol finalist and Curb Recording artist Kimberley Locke. In May 2006, Jerry announced that he would be leaving Stiletto to start his own management firm, entitled Sharell Management. Kimberley chose to leave Stiletto Entertainment and joined the Sharell Management roster of clients.

Jerry appeared on the April 17, 2008 episode of Don't Forget the Lyrics! as one of Kimberly Locke's backup lifelines on the show.
