Jerry Jennings (Madison, Alabama)

Jerry Jennings (as of 2004) holds the office of City Council District #3 of Madison, Alabama. His first term began October, 2004.
Jerry Jennings was elected to the City Council of Madison Alabama in Aug. 2004 and was sworn in as a Councilman in Oct 2004. In the two-man race for the Council District #3 seat, he won by a 66% to 34% margin. Jennings received widespread support from Council District #3 residents as well as from the local business community.
Jerry Jennings was a 16 year resident of Madison Alabama prior to entering the political arena in 2004. He is active in various community groups such as homeowners associations, the Madison Chamber of Commerce, National League of Cities, graduate from the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Leadership program as well as having been an instructor of an Alabama constitutional reform class at the Osher Lifetime Learning Institute (OLLI). OLLI operates on the local University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) campus. He was a past Chair of the local Alabama Citizens for Constitutional Reform (ACCR) committee.
Jerry’s professional career was predominately with Chrysler Corporation and ultimately with Daimler Chrysler Corporation. He retired from Daimler Chrysler Corporation in 1996 as an Engineering Manager after 36 years of service.
