Jerry Capen is a fictional character played by Jeremy Piven on the American television series The Larry Sanders Show. Jerry is the head writer for the fictional Larry Sanders late night talk show, presumably from the start of its run until its sixth season (on the real show, he appears during the first season and most of the second, returning for the series finale). In the episode Larry's Birthday, he is fired from the show by Artie due to his promiscuous and consistently unprofessional nature.
