Jerris Leonard

Jerris Leonard (January 17, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois - July 27, 2006 in Bethesda, Maryland) was a Wisconsin politician. Jerris Leonard was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly 1957 - 1961, and the Wisconsin State Senate 1961 - 1969. He ran against United States Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin in the United States Senate elections, 1968 and was defeated by Senator Nelson. He was in the United States Department of Justice 1969 - 1973 during the administration of President Richard Nixon.
