Jeremy Jeffress (born September 21, 1987 in South Boston, Virginia) is a minor league baseball pitcher in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. He was the selected by Milwaukee as the 18th overall pick in the 2006 Major League Baseball draft.
His repertoire features a fastball that tops in the mid-90s and a hard-breaking slider. In the Arizona Rookie League he pitched 33.2 innings and posted a 5.88 ERA with a record of 2-5. He had 37 strikouts and only 25 walks.
On August 30, 2007, Jeffers was suspended for fifty games after testing positive for "a drug of abuse."[1] In 2008, he started on the Brevard County Manatees' roster on the restricted list. He is slated to make his 2008 debut with Brevard County on May 15th.
