Jerediah Horsford

Jerediah Horsford (March 8, 1791 - January 14, 1875) was a U.S. Representative from New York.
Born in Charlotte, Vermont, Horsford attended the common schools. He engaged in agricultural pursuits. He served during the War of 1812. Missionary to the Seneca Indians at Moscow, New York, in 1815. Held several local offices. He served as member of the State assembly in 1831.
Horsford was elected as a Whig to the Thirty-second Congress (March 4, 1851-March 3, 1853). He served as colonel of light infantry in the State militia. He moved to Livonia, New York, in 1863. He resumed agricultural pursuits. He died in Livonia, New York, January 14, 1875. He was interred in Moscow Cemetery, Moscow (now Leicester), New York.
