Jeppestown is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is located in Region 8.
The "Jeppestown Tragedy" was a shootout that took place between police and armed robbers on 25 June 2006. Four policemen were killed and eight robbers before the remaining 15 gang members surrendered.[1]
