People Helping People in Need
This is a group that offers free membership for people in financial need.It started as a group with only a few members and has risen to over fifty members and may continue to grow.
It's main target audience appears to be people with financial diffuclties and people who may be in a position to help.Similiar to Save-Me-Sites, it is a group that most often is used for 'Cyber-Begging'.However, this term is avoided due to it's negative reflection.
Part of it's goal seems to be to also avoid scam's.The group is moderated and has a required membership request only status.Though the group does have a introduction website offered by a free web builder service, which members and non members may use, that offers a way to donate to the group, a guest book, free music, free games, free chat, and a way to join.It should be noted the group is powered by Yahoo Groups.
Their introduction page can be found by clicking here:[1] and they also have a direct link to their members website by clicking here:[2]
Yahoo Groups is a service that is offered freely through Yahoo for their clients.People Helping People in Need 'PHPIN' is just one of many groups that anyone may join freely. Also, it should be noted, anyone may create their own group. There are literally thousands of groups currently available through Yahoo to join. --Jensv 00:09, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
