[edit] FIS World Cup

He made his World Cup debut in 2006, and has to date won two World Cup Slaloms in the 2007 Alpine Skiing World Cup. He won both races at Kitzbühel. He also obtained a second place in Schladming, Austria, again in Slalom, only two days after his second victory in Kitzbühel.

After some struggle in the beginning of the 2008 Alpine Skiing World Cup where he didn't finish the 1st run in Retieralms slalom he said that he was in doubt of his slalom shape, but when it was time for the slalom in Bad Kleinkirchheim he showed that he was still on top of his game by finishing 2nd, only 66 hundreds behind Benjamin Raich. In the La Villa - Alta Badia slalom he again missed a gate in the first run.
