Jenny Gago

Jenny Gago (b. September 11, 1953 in Peru) is an American Latina actress. A versatile and well-respected actor, she has performed extensively in movies and television for 25 years, including recurring roles as Captain Santina on MacGyver, Detective Beatrice Zapeda in Alien Nation, Anaya on The Agency and Grandma on Freddie. She has been honored as a positive role model by the National Council of La Raza, the Image Awards, the Association for the Advancement of Mexican-Americans, The Hispanic Women's Network of Texas and won a Golden Eagle award for Old Gringo in 1989. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Theatre Arts from UCLA and attended Lee Strasberg's institute on a personal scholarship.
