Jennifer Strahl

Jennifer Strahl (b. May 31, 1976) is a research meteorologist.
Strahl was born as Jennifer Lynn Spinsky in South Bend, Indiana, and graduated from Clay High School in 1994. She then attended Purdue University, and graduated in 1998 with an honors B.Sc degree in Synoptic Meteorology. She married in graduate school, and later earned her Master of Science degree in Synoptic-Scale Atmospheric Dynamics, also from Purdue, two years later.
After university, Strahl began work with the Marine Meteorology Division at the Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey, California. Her work involved meteorological scientific visualization and mesoscale modeling.
She left Monterey in 2004, in order to pursue an educational career. She is currently the Department Chair of Science at Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. She was also recently appointed to the Purdue College of Science Alumni Board.
