Jennifer Spencer is a fictional character in the film Sudden Impact, played by actress Sondra Locke.
In the film, she plays the role of a femme fatale and a tragic anti-hero who vows revenge on the people who brutally raped her and her little sister ten years ago.
Ten years prior to the events of the film, she and her sister Elizabeth were persuaded by a female friend, Ray Parkins (Audrie J. Neenan), to come to the boardwalk for a party, culminating in their brutal rape by friends of Parkins: George Wilburn (Michael Maurer), Kruger (Jack Thibeau), Tyrone (Wendell Wellman), Alby (Matthew Child), and the leader of the gang rape, Mick (Paul Drake).
At the end of the film, Spencer is saved from a trial in the courts because the handgun she used in the killings is found on Mick's body. Thus Harry Callahan tells the police that Mick was the murderer, secretly taking Jennifer off the hook.
