Jen Michaelis is an American artist, illustrator, author, and blogger living in Davis, California. Michealis' best known work is the zine "You Are Here", but her work has also been featured in collections such as "I Keee You!! A Collection of Overheards" by Atomic Books as well as an exhibitor at the Alternative Press Expo and the San Fransico Zine Festival.

An active artist since youth, Jen Michaelis studied Studio Arts and Broadcasting at Colby Community College in Colby, KS from 1999 to 2000 and Studio Arts and Education at Wichita State University in Wichita, KS in 2000.

Michaelis is the creator of the mini zine "You Are Here" documenting humorous true life stories of her early life in Kansas as well as office work experiences and romantic life. "You Are Here" is primarily hand-drawn but also includes Michaelis' original collage work.
Available in both the United States and the UK, the zine has been reviewed by a wide variety of publications including Maximum RocknRoll, ZUM!, and the Feminists Collections: A Quarterly of Women's Studies Resources (The University of Wisconsin).
"You Are Here" is included in the San Diego State University Special Collections as part of their West Coast Zines collection.

Jen Michaelis is currently working on a graphic novel tentatively titled "101 ways to die at work" to be published in 2007.
