[edit] Question

I noticed you finished off the second section on the stub removal project. Previously I had went through them and noticed they were stubs. What happens when I find an article and its a stub? Do I just remove it from the list? SynergeticMaggot 07:22, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply. I had assumed you were a member of the project at first. At that time I was undecided whether or not to remove the actual stub articles from the list, but now its seems more common sense to do this. I also agree with you on the idea of removing stubs from lists, there is a specific cat for these, which I believe is called unfinished lists. Definitely not a stub. [edit] Pride and Prejudice

This character map is awesome! Thank you so much for creating it. I just started reading this book and have gotten really confused by all the relationships; this map made things much clearer. Thanks again! --Fang Aili talk 03:19, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
I would have to agree with her. It is a really great image and does an excellent job of explaining the relationships. Although I am sure if you have not read the book then it is pretty confusing! Thanks a bunch for it though! --LocalBandAid02 19:23, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] character map

Could you do a character map for "The Good Earth" by Pearl S. Buck? If you've never read it then could you at least show me how to make one? -RussB

There's some info at The Good Earth wiki page. Sorry I had some trouble downloading it. Sorry it might be pretty difficult cuz Buck doesn't give names like she didn't supply names so she'll say "Wang Lung's Father" or "The Eldest Son". -RussB

Good! Except I would add if I were you, the Eldest Son and his Uncle's So are in competition and his Uncle's son lusted after the Eldest Son's wife. Sorry if that makes things rather complicated.

Thank-you very much! May God bless you and your generations after. Is there anything I can do for you? -Teofil Bartlomiej 04:04, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the Pride and Prejudice character map. It really helped me finish my English project. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.205.30.41 (talk) 18:29, 17 December 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:YC2006.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:YC2006.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Dutch_Blitz_cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dutch_Blitz_cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 11:56, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Edmonton Capital EX.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Edmonton Capital EX.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:23, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Edmonton meetup

Hello - I'm contacting you with this message because you have indicated that you're from the Edmonton area - if you are not actually in Edmonton, I apologize for bothering you; unfortunately, the sort of spamming I'm doing isn't conducive to reading everybody's userpages thoroughly. I am investigating the possibility of creating a Wikipedia meetup in Edmonton for sometime during the spring or summer of 2008. If you're interested, please visit Wikipedia:Meetup/Edmonton, add yourself to the list of interested editors, and watchlist the page. Cheers, Sarcasticidealist (talk) 00:03, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:TFK.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:TFK.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:21, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
