[edit] Style
Jel is primarily a producer, and is known for his skillful use of the SP-1200 to create complex drum beats with little to no sequencing (i.e. "playing" the drums live using his fingers to trigger each sampled drum hit on the sampler). Jel produces tracks for many fellow anticon members and is featured on a number of anticon releases. He has also released several solo and instrumental albums.
Jel is also a rapper, and performs on several of his tracks on the Soft Money album. He can also be heard rapping and performing background vocals for the groups Subtle and Themselves.
