Jega is the recording name of Manchester, U.K.-based electronic music artist Dylan Nathan. Nathan has released records on the Skam and Planet Mu record labels.
A version of his third album, Variance, later described as an early draft or demo, was leaked to file-sharing networks in 2003. The album has continued to be worked on, with some likening it to an IDM Chinese Democracy.
Friend and peer edIT said in July 2005:
"the Jaggaman is close to releasing a new record. the history of Variance goes is that it was basically done, but unfortunately pirated and leaked to the net. so he scrapped most of those cuts and started over hence the hundred some odd releases since ZIQ024. be patient it is on the way. even his lady doesn't have a copy. it is top secret. the videos for it are grade A 100% high class."[1]
Despite having not released an album in 8 years, Jega still performs live, where he showcases his unreleased material.
