[edit] Hi

Wonder's if Jeff is watching the Special:Recentchanges page.

  • Yes, I sure was when I jumped in on SN 2004dj. New to this, had to start somewhere.

[edit] Greetings Jeff!

I thought I should let you know I was here! RPellessier 19:57, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Cook comment

Hi RPellessier, I saw your message on my user page.

Did you leave a message on the Captain Cook page? I read something to the effect that you were telling me about, but the comment wasn't signed. I'm thinking of digging up my source for the information I gave in my AMHA talk and adding that to the Cook article, but only if no better expert comes along. Jeff Medkeff

Yes that was me, I guess I forgot to sign that message after I posted the satellite image of the black drop. I've since re-signed that discussion element. RPellessier 04:02, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Lensless Schmidt

I reworded and returned my reference to the lensless Schmidt to the Schmidt Camera article. Rsduhamel 07:04, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, your edit looks good. I've dumped some additional thoughts into the article's talk page.Jeff Medkeff 10:11, Jan 24, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] RAT

Good job on the Rock Abrasion Tool article. It was worthy enough of its own. Riffsyphon1024 05:45, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Neat Nickname for talk pages

The characters below will generate a dual-choice signature link. Clicking on the left side will bring up your userpage, clicking on the right side will bring up your talk page.

(Paste the below into your_preferences|user data|nicknames for signatures. Put them in as you see them, unbalanced brackets and all.)

The Wiki engine changed and the method I described for generating a dual choice signature link doesn't work anymore. The remedy is described here: Wikipedia:How_to_fix_your_signature

Basically, go to your preferences page, check the Raw signatures option and enter the full signature string into the field. RPellessier | Talk 17:35, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Buckingham Palace

Thanks for the copy edit, its not really my subject (architecture is) but I started on it, and thought I may as well finish it, trouble is I've started to see double when looking at it. Thanks a lot, I could not believe how many mistakes I had missed. Giano 20:26, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)

No problem - I've been doing "random page" corrections today when I hit that article. Lots of excellent information there - I couldn't possibly have written it. A little cleanup was the best I could do, and every little bit helps. Thanks! Jeff Medkeff | Talk 20:31, Jan 28, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] DIBs

Thanks for your note about diffuse interstellar bands. There is loads more I could write about them, and having been prompted, I will see if I can attend to the article shortly! I'd created the stub and then forgotten about it, so thanks for the reminder. Worldtraveller 22:51, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hi, just thought you might be interested to know that I've finally got around to expanding the DIBs article to something decently sized! Worldtraveller 13:35, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mountains of Alaska project?

Flattop mountain was fun.

If you shoot 'em, I'll stub 'em. How about Pioneer Peak, Ptarmigan Peak, Susitna, and the ones named after musical instruments in the Eagle River valley? RPellessier | (Talk) 03:55, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Pilates Criticism

Jeff, have you done Pilates? Your "criticisms" paragraph has no place here. It’s amazing to me that so many people who have no idea what Pilates is have so much "criticisms" to add. No other form of exercise gets "criticisms" on its page. It is completely out of place and in many parts completely false! "Critics allege that Pilates deliberately associated his New York studio with dancers for marketing reasons" You have no clue what Pilates is, or what kind of person he was. Talk about biases! Pilates was a man of a certain generation. He and his contemporaries exchanged ideas and helped each other develop. He based many of his exercise on yoga. This is not a secret. He did not care if you think he was original or not. He wanted you (the world) to move! your whole paragraph is concerned with the MARKETING of Pilates today not to be confused with the Pilates Method!! please contact me if you need more info on Pilates. hilikp

Yes, I have done Pilates. For discussion of Pilates, its critics, hilikp's revert war, and the NPOV dispute on the Pilates article in general, please see Talk:Pilates.

[edit] Meteorite photos

I've got a few, do you want to photograph them and put the photos in the public domain? RPellessier | Talk 03:28, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Sure. I've e-mailed you about this. --User:Jeffmedkeff | Talk 13:01, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Graphics Lab

I saw your name listed on Wikiproject Illustration or the list of graphic artists, and I thought I'd let you know that a Graphics Lab has been created on EN. Based on the highly successful French and German graphics labs, it seeks to better organise and coordinate our graphic design and photo-editing efforts. Up until now, there has been no common space on EN where users could ask for maps, charts and other SVG files to be created. What's more, the Graphics Lab has discussion boards, tips, tools and links; in sum, a good common workspace. Come help us out! The infrastucture is already in place, and now we need participants. :) --Zantastik talk 00:39, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
