Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Chocolate Rain. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Spellcast 13:12, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- If you continue to remove the speedy tag, you may be blocked from editing. Darksun 13:13, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Remove the tag one more time and I'll report you to an administrator. --Darksun 13:17, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

- Hi, your attempts to add the content to Internet meme by blanking out the other headings and inserting unsourced content there were reverted for the same reason. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the rules on notability and sourcing. If you are dead set on getting this into Wikipedia you will have to find some real sources to explain its notability first, if they exist. Please see the article list of Internet phenomena and its talk page, where people are dealing with the same meme. If it's important enough an article will show up sooner or later, you can source it then and add it. Wikidemo 01:48, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
The article has indeed showed up several times already on wikipedia. The song is all over the internet and on youtube's front page. It has been written for wikipedia over and over by several people.
However, it was decided by some that it was not noteworthy, despite generating tens of thousands of search queries per day. This is apparently more due to a more abstract argument about what is "noteworthy" in terms of importance in the grand scheme of things, rather than a categorical assertion that nobody is interested in it or has any interest in reading an entry about it on wikipedia (clearly, many do). So basically, the 'noteworthy' category has essentially become a pretense for community taste-making in this case. It was deleted, and links to it were re-directed to Intenet Meme.
I am not a passionate fan of the song, but I came to wikipedia looking for info on it, and was surprised to see nothing available. I already knew it was essentially an internet meme, so a redirect to that page wasn't particularly helpful. So I decided that at the very least, it deserved its own mention under that heading -few, even those that dislike it and consider it not noteworthy in its own right, would dispute that its currently a very popular and widespread internet meme. I deleted content headings because most of the entries were only 1-2 sentences.
Please allow the internet meme page to contain headings about popular current internet memes. If it is decided that internet memes in and of themselves are noteworthy enough to recieve an entry, surely the most noteworthy examples of said phenomenon are also noteworthy by extension. If not enough to gain their own entries, at least to gain mention within the meme article. -JJRS
