[edit] "He is the uncle of Alex "AJ" Hoffman."

I'm removing

  • He is the uncle of Alex "AJ" Hoffman.

because no source for the statement is given and it is not clear who Alex "AJ" Hoffman is.

Alex "AJ" Hoffman is not mentioned in [http://www.jsc.nasa.gov/Bios/htmlbios/hoffman.html the NASA bio} which seems to be the main source for the article.

Being someone's uncle is not usually considered an important achievement unless that person is very notable. Dpbsmith (talk) 22:52, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] First Jewish man in Space

Well, guys, it might be that this is only the first US jewish man in space. How about Boris Volynov, one of the early USSR cosmonauts. According to their coach's memoires (those of general Kamanin), there was a behind-the-scene outcry in the Soviet space establishment when Korolev put Volynov on the list of the test-pilots for the first Souyz spacecrafts in the 1960s. [edit] Newton's Apple association

Should it be mentioned that Mr. Hoffman appeared prominently on episodes of the PBS series Newton's Apple in which he discussed his experiences with astronaut training and his 1985 mission?--Kevin586 (talk) 15:28, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
